Born near Bakersville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl Ingram Ollis, and wife of the late James Adam Duncan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Zora Burleson of Spruce Pine,; two brothers, Ernest Ollis of Bakersville, and Howard Ollis of Virginia. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and was active in the Wishful Diggers Garden Club and with Girl Scouts. She and her husbad owned Cinema Equipment and Supply, Inc., in Decatur. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Duncan Wahl of Decatur; a son, James Robert Duncan of Decatur; two brothers, Roy Ollis of Elizabeth City, and Billy Ollis of Spruce Pine; three sisters, Elizabeth Crowder of Spruce Pine, Helen Wilson of Bakersville, and Joyce English of Hickory; and four grandchildren; Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Rev. John Clotfelter officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur. Memorial donations may be made to the Central United Methodist Church building fund.
