MILDRED DUNCAN 


SPRUCE PINE - Mildred Duncan, 83, of Roan Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 
at the Brian Center of Spruce Pine. She was the daughter of the late Claude 
and Ruth Wilson Duncan. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Maude 
Duncan. She was a member of Pine Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, George Dean Duncan Sr. of Shreveport, La.; a 
sister, Melba Duncan of Spruce Pine; two nephews; four great-nieces; and one 
great-nephew. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pine Branch Baptist Church. 
The Revs. Steve Williams and John D. Duncan officiated. Burial was in the 
church cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Webb 
Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
