ZELLA DELLINGER
SPRUCE PINE - Zella Dellinger, 69, of Sunnybrook Lane, died Thursday, 
July 18, 2002 in an Asheville hospital. She was the daughter of the late 
Virgil and Rosie Buchanan Pitman, and wife ofthe late Delmar Dellinger. 
A member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church, she was employed by Spruce 
Pine Community Hospital.
Survivors include her sons, Allen and Douglas Dellinger, both of Spruce 
Pine; sisters, Lorene Gouge of Marion, Jennie Moore of Spruce Pine, and 
Azalene McGee and Oleta McGee, both of Bakersville; brothers, Pat and Lee 
Pitman, both of Bakersville; and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Whites Memorial Baptist 
Church. Revs. Shane Buchanan and Ken Jenkins officiated. Burial was in 
the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at 
Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
