MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Hugh Dellinger, 25 Jun 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Hugh Dellinger, 89, of Altapass Road, died Friday, June 
25, 2004 in a Spruce Pine Rest Home. He was the son of the late Virgil 
and Lura Gragg Dellinger, and husband of the late Anna Louise Sparks 
Dellinger and the late Edna Black Dellinger. He was also preceded in 
death by a daughter, Joyce Carolyn Dellinger; a sister, Kate Greene; and 
brothers, Spencer, Edd, Ashford and Bill Dellinger.

Survivors include a son, Harold Dellinger of Elk Park; brothers, Herbert 
Dellinger of Virginia, and Ray, Bruce and Roger Dellinger, all of 
Bakersville; a sister, Grace Buchanan of Claremont; and four grandsons. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. Dr. 
David Vess officiated. Burial was in Pine Branch Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce 
Pine.
