MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Ruth Greene Dellinger, 19 Apr 2005

BAKERSVILLE - Ruth Greene Dellinger, 79, of Hazen Ledford Road, died Tuesday,
April 19, 2005 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Fonzer and Laura
Burleson Greene, and wife of the late Edward Harlan Dellinger. She was a
member of Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church and a former employee of
Hendredon Furniture Industries.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Sanders of Asheville; a son, Gary
Dellinger of Moore, OK; a sister, Myrl Hall of Bakersville;. a brother,
Clarence Greene of Bakersville; four grandsons; two great grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cane Creek Freewill Baptist
Church. Robert Buchanan, Marvin Hensley and Jimmy Arrowood officiated. Burial
was in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 11-12:30 Saturday
at the home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County,
P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville
was in charge of arrangements.
