ELGIE BAUER DINSMORE

MICAVILLE - Elgie Bauer Dinsmore, 80, of Big Ridge Road, died 
Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 in the Yancey Nursing Center. A native of 
Ohio, he was the son of the late Lewis and Lillie Bauer Dinsmore. 
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and was employed by Lubrizol 
Corp. for 24 years. He also taught high school in Bradenton, FL 
for 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dinsmore of the home; a son, 
Allan Dinsmore of Miami, TX; two daughters, Terri Chaney of Westminster, 
SC, and Carol-Ann Ohmstede of Apex; three grandchildren; two great 
grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
A private family service was held Friday. A memorial service and 
interment of ashes will be held at a later date. Holcombe Brothers 
Funeral Home in Burnsville was in charge of arrangements. Memorial 
donations may be made to Hospice of Yancey County, P.O. Box 471, 
Burnsville, NC 28714, or to the Church of the Resurrection, Little 
Switzerland, NC 28749.
