CORA MCKINNEY DOVER

LAURENS, SC - Cora McKinney Dover, 94, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 
2003 at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center. A native of 
Spruce Pine, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Jane 
Autry McKinney. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bryce 
Dover; two brothers, Lonas McKinney and Roy McKinney, and a 
sister, Nevada McKoy. .#She was a homemaker and member of 
Lanford Baptist Church.
Survivors include ten sons, Norman, Kenneth and Billy Dover, 
all of Enoree, Claude Dover of Covington, GA, Bobby Dover of 
Spartanburg, SC, Tony Dover of Greenwood, Elmer Dover of Laurens, 
Juston Dover of Greenville, Jerry Dover of Philadelphia, PA, and 
Ronnie Dover of Simpsonville; three daughters, Patsy Cunningham 
of Charlotte, and Zella Kennemore and Diane Robertson, both of 
Laurens; a brother, Barney McKinney of Spruce Pine; four sisters, 
Floy Biddix of Spruce Pine, Ruby Bradshaw of Valdese, Lillian 
Walker of Elgin, and Maxine Page of Charlotte; 32 grandchildren; 
34 gret grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lanford Baptist 
Church. Revs. Larry Pitts, Jack Reid and Norman Dover. Burial 
was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 
7-9 p.m. at Kennedy Mortuary on Wednesday. Memorial donations 
may be made to the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, 1 
Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360, or Lanford Baptist Church, 
104 Patterson Plant Road, Enoree, SC 29335.
