He was the son of the late Carroll and Jennie Willis Duncan. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and was employed by Underwood & Weld Trucking Company of Spruce Pine. Survivors include his wife, Nora Lee Green Duncan of the home; a son, Johnny Duncan of Bakersville; two daughters, Darlene Greene and Lou Ellen Rathburn, both of Bakersville; two brothers, Joe Duncan of Las Vegas, NV, and Lewis Duncan of Spruce Pine; one sister, Jean Silver of Bakersville; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Revs. Chris Rathbone and Max Holland officiated. Entombment was in Bear Creek Mausoleum. The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
