ADAM DUNCAN

SPRUCE PINE - Adam Duncan, 76, of Hawkins Branch Road, died Tuesday, 
Aug. 12, 2003 at his home. He was the son of the late Sam and Minnie 
Buchanan Duncan. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anna 
Buchanan and Glennie Sparks; and two brothers, Eugene and Dennis Duncan. 
A U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member and choir director of Pine 
Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Sullins of Spruce Pine; a brother, 
Donald Duncan of Spruce Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Pine Branch Baptist 
Church. Rev. Steve Williams officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. 
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Thursday 
at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell 
County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
