MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Tennie Duncan, 13 Dec 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Tennie Duncan, 90, of the Hamburg community, died Monday, 
Dec. 13, 2004 in a Boone rest home. She was the daughter of the late Adam 
and Lucinda Duncan Buchanan, and wife of the late Grover Duncan. She was a 
life-long member of Bear Creek Baptist church.

Survivors include her son, Richard Duncan of Jefferson; a daughter, Brenda 
Wasserman of Sunrise, FL; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 
two great great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bear Creek Baptist Church. 
Revs. Larry Greene and Brent Bolick officiated. Burial was in the church 
cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour at 
the church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Watauga County, 136 
Furman Road, Suite 4, Boone, NC 28607. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in 
charge of arrangements.
