BERGIE P. EDWARDS 

JOHNSON CITY, TN - Bergie P. Edwards,72, of E. Ninth Avenue, died Sunday, 
October 23, 2005 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, 
was the daughter of Roxie Peterson and the late Isaac Peterson. She was a 
member of the First Church of the Brethren of Johnson City for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Clinton N. Edwards; two daughters, Crystal 
Campbell of Piney Flats, and Kimberly Craig of Johnson City; three sons, Alan 
and Darrell Edwards, both of Johnson City, and Scotty Edwards of Bristol, VA; 
one brother, L.J. Peterson of Green Mountain; seven grandchildren; and one 
great granddaughter. 
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home 
South Chapel. Rev. Rufus Smith officiated. Graveside services were held at 11 
a.m. Wednesday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6-
8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
