MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Robert Lee Edwards, 14 Jan 2004

LENOIR CITY, TN - Robert Lee Edwards, 71, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 
2004 at his home. A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of the 
late Redge and Hettie Edwards. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force 
and Highlands Hospital in Asheville.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Lee Edwards of Candler; a brother, 
Jack Edwards of Candler; a sister, Mae Werner of Boone; and two 
grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Dallas Renfro officiated. Burial 
was in Major Cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the 
service hour at the funeral home.
