CHARLES LEE FORBES 

SPRUCE PINE - Charles Lee Forbes died Thursday, July 5, 2007. He was the son 
of the late Dock and Hattie Roland Forbes. He was also preceded in death by 
four brothers, Edd, Lilborn, Robert and Clarence Forbes. He was self-employed 
as a paving and landscaping contractor, and attended Estatoe Church of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Kabalan of Virginia Beaech, Va.; a son, 
Chris Forbes of Virginia Beach; one sister, Lucille Burleson of Marion; a 
brother, Franklin D. Forbes of Spruce Pine; three grandchildren; and several 
nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. The Revs. Ken Nelson and Wayne Braswell 
officiated. Burial followed in Crabtree Chapel Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
