JOSEPHINE FLOWE
SPRUCE PINE - Josephine Flowe, 79, of Phillips Lane, died Friday, Sept. 
27, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Robert Edward and Elizabeth 
Pendley Cox. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, R.E. Cox Jr. 
and Howard Cox; and a sister, Louise Cox. She was a member of Parkview 
Baptist Church in Lake City, FL, and the Edith Chapter of the Eastern 
Star in Cary.
Survivors include her husband, Feb C. Flowe of the home; two sons, Robert 
C. Flowe and David B. Flowe, both of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Jane 
Wright of Zebulon, and Betty Lopez of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren; 
and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Jim Durham officiated. 
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
