She was the daughter of the late Tildon and Roseann Bryant McKinney, and wife of the late Ed Riddle and the late Frank Forbes. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Bessie Mace and Mary Jane McBee. She was a charter member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Cartha Lowery of Spruce Pine, Grace McKinney and Hester Ledford, both of Hickory, Pauline Wiseman of Marion, and Edith Crowder of Nebo; sons, David and Clyde Riddle both of Spruce Pine; sister, Nettie McKinley of Marion; brother, Avery McKinney of Pokatella, ID; 39 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; and 58 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Brett Jones officiated. Burial was in McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the home. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
