FRANCES FREEMAN

SPRUCE PINE - Frances Freeman, 79, of Davenport Road, died 
Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002 in a Spruce Pine rest home. She was 
the daughter of the late Albert and Hattie Whidden Carmichael, 
and wife of the late Alton V. Freeman. She was also preceded 
in death by a daughter, Teresa Roth.
Survivors include a daughter, Dollie Hoyle of Spruce Pine; a 
son, Clifford Freeman of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren; and 
one great granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. 
Nancy Sehested officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine Memorial 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the 
service hour at the funeral home
