BETTY HEFNER FRIZZELL
SPRUCE PINE – Betty Hefner Frizzell, 65, died Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at 
her home. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lora Jane McKinney 
Hefner. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carman, Walter, 
Leonard, Fred, and Tommy Hefner; and sisters, Louise McKinney and Flossie 
McKinney. She was a member of Altapass Baptist Church and Eastern Star.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Frizzell of Spruce Pine; brothers, Earnest and 
Dorman Hefner both of Spruce Pine; sisters, Trula Whitson and Peggy McKinney, 
both of Spruce Pine; and one grandson.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Gary Greene officiated. Burial was 
in McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the 
service hour at the funeral home.
