ANNE PYATTE FRANKLIN
SPRUCE PINE - Anne Pyatte Franklin, 82, of Asheville, formerly 
of the Three Mile community, died Monday, July 29, 2002 in an 
Asheville hospital. She was the daughter of the late Chelsey J. 
Pyatte, and Carrie Geouge Pyatte of Celo. She was a member of 
Altamont Methodist Church and had been active in 4-H.
In addition to her mother, sie is survived by her daughter, 
Judith Bias of Asheville; half-sisters, Marilyn Parsons of Three 
Mile, Gloria Stewart, Frances Creson and Savannah Shuford, all of 
Celo, and Naomi Hensley of Marion; half-brother, Joe Geouge of 
Frederick, MD; step-sisters, Belle Joines of Monroe and Vestina 
Buchanan of Marion; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Altamont Methodist 
Church. Revs. Keith Tutterow and Greg Doll officiated. Burial was in 
Pisgah Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
