RAY GOUGE 
 
JOHNSON CITY, TN - Ray Gouge, 85, of Navaho Drive, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 
at James H Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Mitchell County, he was the 
son of the late Ed and Nannie Gouge, and husband of the late Pauline Campbell 
Gouge. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with the Veterans 
Administration in Mountain Home, Tenn. He was a member of Boone Trail Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include two sons, Sammy Gouge of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Douglas 
Wayne Gouge of Jearoldstown, Tenn.; and five grandchildren. 

Funeral Services were held at 8 p.m. Monday at Morris Baker Funeral Home. 
Burial was at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roselawn Cemetery with graveside services 
conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family received friends from 6 
p.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral home. Henline - Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville assisted the family.
