LILLIAN B. GREENE 

BAKERSVILLE - Lillian B. Greene, 95, of Cane Creek Road, died Thursday, Dec. 
21, 2006 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Freelove 
Pittman Burleson,and wife of the late Pat Greene. She was also preceded in 
death by a daughter, Louise Tipton; a son, Pat Greene Jr.; brothers, Archie, 
Tarp, Lloyd, Claude, Bill and Jack Burleson; and one sister, Martha Buchanan. 
She was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bob Greene of Bakersville; a daughter, Dorothy Greene 
of Bakersville; two sisters, Nell Crenshaw of Warrenton, and Mary Ruth Wise of 
Bakersville; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cane Creek Baptist Church. 
Revs. Gerald Grindstaff and Lonnie McClellan officiated. Burial followed in 
Cane Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service 
hour at the church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home assisted the family.
