EDD GRINDSTAFF 

ERWIN, TN - Edd Grindstaff, 81, of North Elm Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 
2006 in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. A native of Bakersville, he was the 
son of the late Will and Martha Grindstaff. He retired as a boiler fireman at 
American Efrid after 47 years of service. He was affiliated with Grace United 
Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Grindstaff of the home; one daughter, Nancy 
Stevens of Hampson Tenn.; two sons, Bobby Grindstaff of Woodruff, S.C., and 
Eddie Grindstaff of Burnsville; a sister, Christine Gortney of Bakersville; a 
brother, Lawrence Grindstaff of Green Mountain; eight grandchildren; and 
several great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services and visitation were held Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. The 
Rev. Vince Krauss officiated. Graveside services followed at Red Hill 
Cemetery. Valley Funeral Home in Erwin assisted the family.
