MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Brown Gardner, 29 Jun 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Brown Gardner, 72, of Aaron Branch Road, died Tuesday, 
June 29, 2004 at his home. He was the son of the late Jerome and Levada 
Garland Gardner. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Bessie 
Forbes and Lucille Yelton, and a brother, Robert Gardner. A self-employed 
contractor, he attended Beans Creek Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah Yelton Gardner of the home; sisters, 
Daisy Mae Campbell and Beulah Buchanan, both of Glen Rock, PA, and 
America Allen of Marietta, SC; and brothers, James Gardner of Marietta, 
SC, and Grover Gardner of New Freedom, PA. 
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. G.B. Garland officiated. Burial 
was in Roselawn Memorial Park in Johnson City, TN.
