MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Marjorie C. Garland, 22 Sep 2004

ASHEVILLE - Marjorie C. Garland, 94, formerly of Bakersville, died 
Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004 in an Asheville rest home. She was the 
daughter of the late Stoney and Etta Webb Conley, and wife of the 
late Charles E. Garland.  Survivors include a daughter, Norma J. Bailey of 
Asheville; a son, Doug Garland of Spruce Pine; a daughter, Janet Jackson of 
Micaville; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Sisk officiated. 
Burial was in Cub Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 
p.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
