MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Beatrice Young Gouge, 11 Jun 2005

Beatrice Young Gouge, 80, of Hwy 226, Bakersville, passed away June 11, 2005
at her home. She was the daughter of the late Edd and Hulda Freeman Young, and
a native of Mitchell County. She was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church. She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Garland, and one brother,
Delaney Young.

Survivors include: husband Bill W. Gouge, of the home; daughter, Karen Greene
of Bakersville; son Royce Gouge of Clemmons; and sister Jessie Lee Tipton of
Green Mountain; three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held June 13 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral
Home with Clifford Willis officiating. The family received friends one hour
prior to the service. Interment was held Tuesday, June 14, at Malone Gouge
Cemetery. Memorials were to be made to: Alzheimer's Association WNC Chapter, 3
Louisiana Ave., Asheville, NC 28806-3419.
