JACK GREENE
SPRUCE PINE – Jack Greene, 81, of the Altapass community, died Thursday, 
February 28, 2002, in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the 
late Tom and Lizzie Haney Greene. He was also preceded in death by three 
sisters and four brothers. He was a member of Altapass Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Jane Lowery Greene; daughter, Rhonda Scott 
of Murfreesboro; a son, David Greene of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren; and 
two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Altapass Baptist Church. 
Revs. Steve Sisk, Mark McKinney and Chris Rathbone officiated. Burial was in 
McKinney Gap Cemetery. The family received friend from 6 p.m. until the 
service hour at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements.
