ARCHIE CHAPMAN GREENE
BAKERSVILLE - Archie Chapman Greene, 79, of Hwy. 226 North, died Friday, 
Sept. 13, 2002 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. He was the son of the 
late Johnn and Katie Greene. He was self-employed as a farmer.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Greene of Tazewell, VA; Brownlow 
Moffitt, Gary and Janice McKinney, Ryan McCann, Floyd and Jeannene Garland, 
Darren and Jessica Williams, and Georgia Gouge Moffitt.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Roger Laws officiated. Burial was 
at 3 p.m. Sunday in Honeycutt Cemetery. The family received friends from 
6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
