LOIS HOILMAN GREENE

BAKERSVILLE - Lois Hoilman Greene, 81, of Buchanan Drive, died 
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002. She was the daughter of Troy and Lizzie 
Buchanan Hoilman, and wife of the late Thomas Greene. She was 
also preceded in death by a son, Donald Greene; a sister, 
Josephine McKinney; and brothers, Howard and Bruce Hoilman. A 
homemaker, she was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Vivian McKinney of Raleigh, 
Betty Sue Sigmon of Spruce Pine, and Margaret Polka, Cherry 
Statler and Beverly Vines, all of Bakersville; a sister, Faye 
Helen Buchanan of Bakersville; brothers, Wade and Sherrill 
Hoilman of Bakersville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 
one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nepews.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Bakersville 
Baptist Church. Revs. Vernon Buchanan and Billy Stewart officiated. 
Burial was at 11 a.m. Friday in Bakersville Memorial Cemetery. 
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. 
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 
434 Fayetteville Street Mall, Two Hanover Square, Suite 1600, 
Raleigh, NC 27601-1764. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville 
was in charge of arrangements.
