Deceased  --  Earl Ray GRIFFITH, age 62, of Hoot Owl Road, Spruce Pine, NC
died 1-30-01.    He was son of Jenny BOONE GRIFFITH nad the late Earl
GRIFFITH of Spruce Pine.    He was a member of Libeerty Hill Baptist Church, and burial is in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, and his widow, Patricia HICKS GRIFFITH,
daughters Tammy GRIFFITH SHIPWAY of Charlotte, NC and Sandy GRIFFITH of
Chapel Hill, NC; sisters Helen GRIFFITH WILSON, Ora GRIFFITH ALLEN and
Carolyn GRIFFITH CARPENTER, all of Spruce Pine; brothers Jack and Dean
GRIFFITH of Spruce Pine, and James and Frank GRIFFITH, both of Marion, NC;
foster brother Bill BALL of St. Albans, WV, two grandchildren, and several
nieces and nephews.
