RAY EDWARD GRINDSTAFF
BAKERSVILLE – Ray Edward Grindstaff, 80, of Snow Hill Road, died Friday, 
February 15, 2002 at his home. He was the son of the late Audie and Dana 
Ledford Grindstaff. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray 
Grindstaff. A member of Snow Hill Baptist Church, he was a motor grader 
operator for the N.C. Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Stamey Grindstaff.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funreal Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Larry Greene and Gerald Grindstaff 
officiated. Burial followed in Snow Hill Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 1:30-2:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
