MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Lucy Mae Grindstaff, 15 Feb 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Lucy Mae Grindstaff, 73, of the Beaver Creek community, 
died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 in a Spruce Pine rest home. She was the 
daughter of the late Bascomb and Annie Mae Tipton Hoyle, and wife of 
the late Arnold Grindstaff.

Survivors include two daughters, Violet Weaver of Georgetown, IN, and 
Stephanie Ledford of Spruce Pine; two sons, Dean Hoyle of Burnsville 
and Rick Hoyle of Marion; a sister, Pearl Grindstaff of Spruce Pine; 
and seven grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Matthew 
Grindstaff officiated. Burial was in the Lily Branch Cemetery. The 
family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
