MARION ARDELLA HALL 

SPRUCE PINE - Marion "Ardella" Biddix Hall, 80, of the Altapass community, 
died Tuesday, May 6, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Marion Robert and 
Melissa Ardella Lowery Biddix, and wife of the late Cecil Guy Hall. She was 
also preceded in death by siblings, Ressie Roxana, Edith Estelle, Jessie 
Viola, Mary, Martha, Graham Crite, Sam, and Robert Carter Biddix, Geneva 
Biddix Mace, Dora Elizabeth Biddix Williams, and Alaska Biddix Mace; and two 
paternal half-brothers, Paul and Wayne McKinney. She was very devoted to 
Christ and made a decision to follow Him as a young girl. She made every 
effort to live a Godly Christian life and made Altapass Church of God her 
church home for the majority of her life. In her younger years, she worked for 
Holston Orchard and for Lydia Hoilman.

Survivors include five daughters, Joan Crystal Forbes of Mocksville, Rita 
Rebecca Burleson of Limestone, Tenn., and Elizabeth Ann Barnhill, Sylvia 
Patricia Fortner, and Amanda Charlotte Geouge, all of Spruce Pine; one 
brother, Ralph Biddix of Kewanee, Ill.; two paternal half-brothers, Jack 
McKinney of Spruce Pine and Terry McKinney of Marion; four paternal half-
sisters, Sadie Andrews and Theresa Newton of Marion, Gertie Johnson of Oak 
Island, and Joann Riddle of Morganton; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Saturday at Altapass Church of God. Revs. Cameron 
Smith and Derick Forbes officiated. Burial followed in Berry Chapel Baptist 
Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Webb 
Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
