MARY LEE BUCHANAN HENLINE 

SPRUCE PINE - Mary Lee Buchanan Henline, 81, of Biggerstaff Road, died Sunday, 
July 2, 2006 in Cannon Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the later 
Silas and Ethel English Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by a brother, 
J. Walter Buchanan; and a sister, Willie Rae Jobe. She and her husband were 
owners and operators of The Textile Center. She was a member of Beaver Creek 
Baptist Church for 59 years.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Henline of the home; a son, Mark 
Henline of Crossnore; three sisters, Ann Hobson and Alma Thomas, both of 
Johnson City, TN, and Aileen English of Spruce Pine; one granddaughter; and 
several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Beaver Creek Baptist 
Church. Revs. Brandon Pittman, Pat Johnson and Ken Mashburn officiated. Burial 
followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Tuesday at the funeral home.
