LILLIE MAE COFFEY HOLLIFIELD 

SPRUCE PINE - Lillie Mae Coffey Hollifield, 76, of Carters Ridge Road, died 
Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late 
Rev. Richard Hollifield. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy 
Coffey.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Hollifield of Little Switzerland, and Chris 
Hollifield of Alabama; a daughter, Sheron Robinson of Double Island; two 
brothers, Claude and Arnold Coffey, both of Morganton; a sister, Bert Wilson 
of Danville, Va.; three grandsons; and one great-grandson. 

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Chestnut Grove Baptist 
Church. The Revs. Vernon Buchanan and Lynda Briggs officiated. Burial was at 
11 a.m. Friday in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Little Switzerland. The family 
received friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the church. 
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, 284 Hospital 
Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville 
assisted the family.
