SARAH EMMA HUFFMAN 

BAKERSVILLE - Sarah Emma Huffman, 79, formerly of Bakersville and Lincolnton, 
died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. A native of Yancey 
County, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Blanche Robinson Masters, 
and wife of the late Floyd Huffman. She was also preceded in death by a 
brother, Gene Masters; and a sister, Maudeline Masters. She was retired from 
B.C. Moore's Department Store and a member of Living Word Pentacostal Holiness 
Church in Maiden.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Blackburn of Cherryville; three brothers, 
Harold Masters of Bremerton, Wash., Angus Masters Jr. of Westminster, Md., and 
Dean Masters of Bakersville; and a sister, Kate Conley of Bakersville. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Stamey-
Cherryville Funeral Home. The Revs. Max Clark and Jerry Lail officiated, 
assisted by the Revs. Michael Ainsworth and Thomas Ainsworth. Burial followed 
in Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton. Memorial donations may be made to Living 
Word Pentacostal Holiness Church, 923 Island Ford Road, Maiden, NC 28650.
