PANSY THOMAS HISE

SPRUCE PINE - Pansy T. Hise, 89, of Forest Fisher Road, died Tuesday, 
Feb. 18, 2003 in a local health care home. She was the daughter of the 
late Wilburn and Charlotte Burleson Thomas, and wife of the late Lloyd 
Hise Sr. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Jean 
English. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Lloyd Hise Jr., Jess Hise, Ralph Hise, and 
Phillip Hise, all of Spruce Pine; one daughter, Rosa Horton of Burnsville; 
16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Chet Glenn, Darrin 
Waldroup, and Steve Williams officiated. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Baptist 
Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service 
hour Thursday at the funeral home.
