MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Ollie Garland Hoilman, 15 Dec 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Ollie Garland Hoilman, 85, of N. Dale Street, died Wednesday, 
Dec. 15, 2004 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of 
the late Sueland Nellie Blevins Garland, and wife of the late Ed Hoilman.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Buster Hoilman; a brother, Willie 
Garland; and sisters, Laura Belle Garland and Etta Stevens.

Survivors include sons, Roger Hoilman of Spruce Pine and Dean Hoilman of 
Bakersville; daughters, Barbara Buchanan of Newland, Iris Ward of Hickory 
and Angie Shepherd of Spruce Pine; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 
one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home 
in Bakersville. Revs. Gerald Grindstaff and Shane Buchanan officiated. Burial 
was in L.G. Gouge Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday 
at the funeral home.
