WILSON HOLDER

BAKERSVILLE – Wilson Holder, of Morganton, formerly of Bakersville, died 
Monday, December 3, 2001 at his home. A native of Mitchell County, he was the 
son of the late Greenlee and Sena Ledford Holder. He was also preceded in 
death by his sisters, Ardie Dowdy, Lillia Patterson, Berdie Gregg and Minnie 
Gregg; and brothers, Clint, Cliff and Forest Holder. He was retired from 
Crestline Furniture and a member of Abbey's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Phillips Holder of the home; sisters, Bess 
H. Buchanan of Asheville and Ola H. Buchanan of Bakersville; brothers, George 
Holder of Lakeland, FL, and Dewey and Lonnie Holder, both of Gaston, AL; and 
several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cane Creek Cemetery. The 
family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce 
Pine.
