EUGENE HOLDER
BAKERSVILLE - Eugene Holder, 90, of Hughway 261 North, died Wednesday, 
July 17. 2002 in the Brian Center Spruce Pine. He was the son of the late 
Dave and Nora Ledford Holder. He was also preceded in death by a sister, 
Dollie Woodby, and a brother, Leon Holder. He was a U.S. Army veteran and 
a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, June Thomas Holder of the home; and a daughter, 
Janice Holder Stewart of Franklin, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Dallas Renfro and Tommy Thomas 
officiated. Burial followed in Major Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
