EDITH BOONE HOLLIFIELD

SPRUCE PINE - Edith Boone Hollifield, 75, of Valley Road, died 
Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at her home. She was the daughter of the 
late Alvin and Cordelia Frye Gortney, and wife of the late Jack 
Boone and the late Rev. Tull Hollifield. She was also preceded 
in death by a brother, John Gortney. She was a member of Freedom 
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Geneva Pitman and Jeanette Forbes, 
both of Spruce Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Spruce 
Pine Memorial Cemetery. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in 
charge of arrangements.
