GERALDINE JONES HOPSON 

BAKERSVILLE – Geraldine Jones Hopson, 73, of Byrd Creek Road, died April 1, 
2001 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. Born in Unicoi, TN, she was the 
daughter of the late Everette Wilson Jones and Genette Wilson. A seamstress, 
she had been employed by Hampshire Hosiery. 

Survivors include his husband, Clyde Hopson of the home; daughter Belinda 
Hopson Autrey of Green Mountain; and one granddaughter Olivia Silvers. 

Funeral services were held at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. 
Revs. Norman Loveless and Paul Bennett officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday in Jones Cemetery in Unicoi. The family received friends Tuesday 
from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
