BAKERSVILLE - Parolea Young Howell, 84, of Hwy. 226 South, died Friday, Jan.
14, 2005 In Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late
Homer and Nettie McKinney Young, and a member of Mine Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Pitman of Bakersville; a son, James Howell
of Savannah, GA; a brother, Elmer Young of Bakersville; a sister, Jackie
Garden of Bakersville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mine Creek Baptist Church. Rev.
Kenneth Murphy and Bobby Garden officiated. Burial was in Mine Creek Cemetery.
The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour at the church.
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge of arrangements.
