DAVID FULLER HUSKINS

BAKERSVILLE - David Fuller Huskins, 92, of Fuller Huskins Lane, 
died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. 
He was the son of the late Charles and Creanie Gouge Huskins, 
and husband of the late Claudia Buchanan Huskins. An avid 
outdoorsman, he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving under 
Gens. Bradley and Patton. He had been employed as a structural 
ironworker and was a member of Lily Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Bobby Huskins of Bakersville; 
two sisters, Mary Lou Willis and Kathleen Hall, both of 
Bakersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lily Branch 
Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Williams officiated. Burial was in 
the church cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior 
to the service at the church.
