MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Addie Dellinger Hughes, 7 Jun 2005

SPRUCE PINE - Addie Dellinger Hughes, 89, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005.

She was a charter member, treasurer, and sunday school teacher at First
Freewill Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, and had worked at Spruce Pine Mica
Company. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Jane Burleson Dellinger, and
wife of the late Linnie Hughes. She was also preceded in death by a son,
Bobbie Hughes.; sisters, Suzie Wise and Florence McKinney; and brothers,
Charles, Fate, Clate, and Dave Dellinger. 

Survivors include a daughter, Bernice Stafford of Spruce Pine; three sons,
Billy Hughes, Charlie Hughes, and Richard Hughes, all of Spruce Pine; a sister
Gladys Wise of Plumtree, 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and five
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. at the Chapel of
Henline-Hughes. Ministers were Ralph Hedrick and Steve Sisk. The family
received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour. Interment was on Thursday
morning at 11 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery on Tempie Mountain
Road.
