HELEN INGRAM 

BAKERSVILLE - Helen Ingram, 80, of Pine Root Branch, died Tuesday, April 24, 
2007 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Carolina Des, and 
wife of the late Dewey Ingram Jr. She was retired from Ellen's Knitting Mill 
and was a member of Middle District Freewill Baptist Church and the 
Bakersville chapter of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Joyce Ingram of Bakersville; two brothers-
in-law, I.D. and W.C. Ingram, both of Johnson City, Tenn.; and several nieces 
and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Middle District Freewill 
Baptist Church. The Revs. Bud Edwards, Scotty Jenkins, and Steve Miller 
officiated. Burial followed in Ingram Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in 
Bakersville assisted the family.
