MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Dewey Ingram Jr., 24 Sep 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- DEWEY INGRAM JR. BAKERSVILLE - Dewey Ingram Jr. of Pine Root Branch Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Dewey and Mae Street Ingram Sr. A member of Middle District Baptist Church, he was the former owner of High Valley Construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Bakersville Masonic Lodge and the VFW local chapter. Survivors include his wife, Helen Des Ingram of the home; three sisters, Joyce Ingram and Georgia Jenkins of Bakersville, and Lois Shaffer of Hanover, PA; two brothers, David Ingram of Johnson City, TN, and William C. Ingram of Greeneville, SC; one niece and several nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Middle District Baptist Church. Revs. Bud Edwards and Jimmy Arrowood officiated. Burial followed in Ingram Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
