VAUGHTIE JONES 

BURNSVILLE - Vaughtie Jones, 94, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 in Brookside Care 
Center. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Maude Johnson, and wife of 
the late Dave Jones. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jesse Jones; 
three sisters, Gladys Johnson, Lillian Conley and Lois McKinney; and two 
brothers, Jesse Jr., Joe and Roy Johnson.

Survivors include a son, Ted Jones of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren; five 
great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Robert Simes, CPL, officiated. Burial was 
in Vians Valley Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the 
service hour at the funeral home.
