STELLA JARRETT

BAKERSVILLE – Stella Jarrett, 85, of the Rebels Creek community, died 
Wednesday, August 29, 2001 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the 
daughter of the late Oscar and Mae Parsons Greene, and wife of the late Fred 
Jarrett. She was a member of Rebels Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Clark of Canton; sons Frank Jarrett of 
Stockbridge, GA, and Scotty Jarrett of Bakersville; brothers, Claude and Ted 
Greene, both of Spruce Pine; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rebels Creek Baptist Church. 
Rev. Wallace Wise officiated. Burial was in Rebels Creek Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
