CARL JOHNSON
BAKERSVILLE - Carl Johnson, 83, of Davis Cemetery Road, died Wednesday, 
Sept. 11, 2002 at his home. He was the son of the late J.W. and Minnie 
Davis Johnson, and husband of the late Mozelle Briggs Johnson. He was a 
self-employed carpenter and a member of Mine Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Roberts and Mae Stanley, both of 
Bakersville; a sister, Juanita Wilson of Burnsville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mine Creek Baptist Church. 
Revs. Kenneth Murphy, Eugene Briggs, Denny Crow and Frank Wyatt officiated. 
Burial followed in Mine Creek Cemetery. The family received visitors from 
7-9 p.m. Friday at the church. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville 
was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons
