JEWELL WEBB JONES

BAKERSVILLE
Jewell Webb Jones, 80, of Mine Creek Road, died Friday, July 27, 2001, in Life 
Care of Banner Elk. She was the daughter of the late Ranzie and Anita Burleson 
Webb, and wife of the late Fred H. Jones. She was also preceded in death by a 
sister, Zella Seaton.  She was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Rhonda Johnson of Lebanon, OR, and Peggy 
Waycaster and Glenda Hinkle, both of Marion; sisters, Alma Griffith of 
Georgia, and Verna Callahan of Baltimore, MD; brother, Paul Webb of Baltimore, 
MD; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Jack Bridges officiated. Burial followed in
Tipton Hill Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the 
funeral home.
