CAROLINE LOUISE LEDFORD 

BAKERSVILLE - Carolina Louise Ledford, 75, of Pine Root Branch Road, died 
Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 at Roan Highlands Nursing Center in Roan Mountain, TN. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Caroline Smith.

Survivors include her husband, George Ledford; a son, Bill Schaffer of South 
Carolina; a daughter, Carolyn Bingham of Statesville; stepson, Michael Ledford 
of Bakersville; stepdaughters, Betty Jean Hughes of Pennsylvania, and Christine 
Fillmore of Bakersville; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. G.B. Garland and Larry Garland officiated. 
Burial was in Russ memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. 
until the service hour at the funeral home.
